Heraldica Española - Spanish Civic Heraldry
AVILA

Origin/meaning:
The arms show a cathedral and a king. The origin is not known to me. Besides these arms Spain has issued a stamp with a different coat of arms for Avila, shown below. The left part is identical as the new arms, but the right part is different. Its origin is not known to me.
