Coat of arms of Cerkno

Origin/meaning:
The municipality has no official arms as yet, but already since 2001 the above image has been discussed. Presently (2008) the council has launched a contest for new local symbols.

The proposed arms consisted a Slovenian kozolec, the particular local hay storage, and a mill wheel.
