Russian Civic Heraldry ACHINSK Origin/meaning: The arms were granted on March 17, 1785 (below) and on January 21, 1982. I have no information on the origin or meaning of these arms. Any information is welcome ! The arms of 1785 The upper part of the arms shows the arms of Tobolsk province. The lower part shows a bow and arrow, the main hunting tool for the local people at the time, and symbolises the importance of hunting and the abundant wildlife.
