Civic Heraldry of Georgia

TELAVI

Origin/meaning : The grape leaves stand for a wide-spread wine industry, the small quarter shows the arms of Tblisi region. The old arms, shown below show the same grapes, but in the upper half the arms of the Caucasus province of the Russian Empire.
