Civic Heraldry of Georgia

GORI

Origin/meaning : The tower symbolizes the great fortress of Gori, once considered one of the impregnable strongholds in the Caucasus; the grains stands for well developed agriculture. The free-quarter shows the provincial arms of Tblisi.
