![]() Origin/meaning: The arms were not used for a long time, in the same year both the city rights and the arms were already abolished. The arms were, however, still used unofficially. In 1969 the arms were re-established, except that the eye was replaced by a sun and a triangle. These arms lasted a little longer, but were abolished in 1970. Finally the arms were again restored in 1990, but it still took six years before the arms were officially granted.
