Origin/meaning:
The number 1241 signifies that Tárnok was first mentioned in written form in any Hungarian documents. Tárnok is situated approx. 20 km from Budapest and divided into two parts: the so called "grape-hill" and the agricultural area, which is symbolised in the arms. The church is the local church.
