MAKÓ

Origin/meaning:
Makó is famous for onions. In fact, a particularly piquant variety is named after the town, the "Makoi hagyma". Hence the onion in the arms. The white bar represents the Maros river which flows very near by and the red is the soil of the Mako area which is very fertile.
