The region did not use arms.

The Strathclyde Region was divided into 19 districts : Argyll & Bute, Bearsden & Milngavie, Clydebank, Clydesdale, Cumbernauld & Kilsyth, Cumnock & Doon Valley, Cunninghame, Dumbarton, East Kilbride, Eastwood, Glasgow city, Hamilton, Inverclyde, Kilmarnock & Loudoun, Kyle & Carrick, Monklands, Motherwell, Renfrew, Strathkelvin
