MAKSAMAA - MAXMO

Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted on June 19, 1954.

The triton is derived from the arms of the Numers family, who played a major role in the local history. At the samt time the triton is a symbol for sailing and shipping. The fish and trefoil symbolise fishing and agriculture.
