WILDBAD IM SCHWARZWALD
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Calw
Additions : 1974 Aichelberg, Calmbach
  Origin/meaning:
The oldest use of the arms of Wildbad date from 1441. The arms appear on the seal and show two pine trees and a fountain. The latter is a canting element (Bad=health resort, spa). Coloured images of the arms are known since 1596, but many different colours have been used through the centuries. In 1957 the above left arms were officially granted.
After the merger in 1974 the arms were changed (above right) and officially granted on August 11, 1981. The basic design remained the same, but the colours were taken from the old arms of Calmbach.
