Origin/meaning: The lion is taken from the old arms of Rothhausen. The lower half shows some tools, two axes used to clear forest and a spade. The axes are a canting symbol for Rothhausen (the tools are Reuthauen), the spade symbolises the agricultural character of Theinfeld. The silver and red colours are those of the Franken region.
