TETTENS
State : Niedersachsen
Origin/meaning: The eagle is taken from the arms of the medieval family Von Middoge, which played a large role in the local history. Their arms can be found in the church of Tettens. The base shows two blue bends which are a symbol for the low-lying position of the village where draining of the land is necessary. Literature : Furchert, 2003
