District (Kreis) : Stormarn

State : Schleswig-Holstein
Additions : Wilstedt, Wulksfelde

Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted in 1936 and reconfirmed on June 7, 1974.

The arms show the nettle-leaf of the arms of Holstein, with the arms of the Counts of Holmer, who in the 18th and 19th century ruled Tangstedt. The three roses also symbolise the three former municipalities.
