Additions : 1970 Buisdorf, Hangelar, Meindorf, Menden, Niederpeis
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen

Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted in 1936 (officially to Amt Menden) and continued on February 15, 1979.

The arms show in the upper part the lion of the Counts of Berg, as the area belonged historically to Berg. The lower part shows the arms of the Lords of Menden.
