Origin/meaning:
The arms were officially granted on September 28, 1938.

The arms show a type of urn. The idea is based on the arms of the medieval family Von Grapendorf, which used a bowl in their arms. The urn, however, is based on the prehistoric urn found in the village in the 1930s.
