Origin/meaning:
The arms of Sailauf were granted on March 21, 1969.

The arms show the wheel of the State of Mainz, as the village belonged to the State of Mainz until 1803. The upper corner shows a wavy bend for the Sailauf and Steinbach rivers. The oak leaf in th elower half symbolises the forests of the Spessart region, in which the village is situated.
