< Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) German Civic Heraldry RUDERTING State : Bayern District (Kreis) : Passau Origin/meaning: The blue fleur-de-lis is the symbol of the Fugger family (later Counts Gugger), that owned the large estate of Schöllnstein in the municipality until the 19th century. It is also the symbol for St. Joseph, the local patron saint and a rare plant, sibirische Schwertlilie (I don't know the English name) that grows in the area.
