RIEDEN AM FORGGENSEE
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Ostallgäu
 Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted in 1986.
The lower half shows tools to clear the forests. These symbolise the first part of the name, Rieden is derived from Roden, or forest clearing. The fleur-de-lis is taken from the arms of the St. Mang Abbey in Füssen, which had many possessions in the municipality. The vine leaf is the symbol of St. Urbanus, patron saint of the oldest church in Rieden. The wavy division line symbolises the Forggensee-lake. The colours are derived from the colours of the State of Augsburg, to which the area historically belonged.
