Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) German Civic Heraldry REICHENBERG State : Rheinland-Pfalz District (Kreis) : Rhein-Lahn-Kreis (until 1969 Loreleykreis) Verbandsgemeinde : Loreley Origin/meaning: The arms were granted on September 29, 1983. The arms show in the upper half the lion of the Counts of Katzenelnbogen, who built the local castle in 1319. The village developed around the castle, which is shown in the lower half of the arms.
