Origin/meaning:
The cross is taken from the arms of Trendel and is derived from the arms of the Counts of Oettingen, who ruled the village for several centuries. The quartered upper left half shows the arms of the Hohenzollern family, who had many possessions in Döckingen, Polsingen and Ursheim. The dog's head is taken from the arms of the Lords of See, who lived in Polsingen from 1100-1518.
