State : Nordrhein-Westfalen

Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted on February 9, 1976.

The arms are made up of elements of the arms of important local families. The fleur-de-lis with the parrot are taken from the arms of the Lords of Elmpt, the fesses from the Lords of Brempt.
