State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Aurich (until 1976 Norden)

Origin/meaning:

Nesse was owned by the Attena family (see Dornum), whose arms bore a bear. The wheat-ear symbolises the agriculture. The spurs are taken from the arms of Norden to symbolise the ties to this city.
