Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) German Civic Heraldry NERSINGEN State : Bayern District (Kreis) : Neu Ulm Origin/meaning: The arms were granted in 1983. The golden wreath is taken from the Imperial Abbey of Elchingen. The golden pale and red bends are the arms of the former County of Burgau, to which part of the municipality historically belonged. The pale also symbolises the old Roman road in the municipality. The wheel has five blades, one for each of the former municipalities.
