District (Kreis) : Ditmarschen
Amt : Amt Kirchspielslandgemeinde Heider Umland (until 2008 Amt KLG Heide-Land)

Wappen von Lieth

Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted on March 22, 2002.

The municipality is situated on the border of the sandy Geest and marshland, which is symbolised by the division line. The two main activities in the municipality are agriculture and oil refining in the local refinery. This is symbolised by the ancient plough as well as the pumpjack. The colours also symbolise the clean air and sky (silver) as well as agriculture (green).
