LAMPERTHEIM
State : Hessen ![]() Origin/meaning: Before, Lampertheim used different arms in seals. The oldest seal dates from the 15th century and shows only a plough iron. Around 1540, under the rule of Bishop Heinrich of Worms new arms appeared. They showed the arms of the Wittelsbach family (his family, see Bayern) combined with the keys of Worms. These arms are probably used until 1706. Literature : Stadler, K. : Deutsche Wappen - Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Angelsachsen Verlag, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
