Amt : Sonsbeck (until 1969)
Incorporated into : 1969 Sonsbeck

Origin/meaning:
The arms were officially granted on September 24, 1959.

The arms are based on the seal of the local council known since 1400. The upper half shows the escarbuncle of the County of Kleve, to which the area at the time belonged. The meaning of the stones in the base is not known.
