Wappen der Landkreis Döbeln

Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted on August 31, 1993.

The lion is the lion of the County of Meissen, as the district historically belonged to Meissen. The two pales are the colours of Sachsen, whereas the small shield shows the arms of the city of Döbeln.
