Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted on October 1, 1974.

The arms are a combination of elements from the two older arms. The chief with the arms of Bayern is taken from both older arms. The lion is taken from Landau, the bars from Dingolfing.

The the Landkreis Dingolfing-Landau belong the following cities and municipalities:
