Origin/meaning: The upper half shows an oak branch, which is taken from the seal of Falkenstein estate, to which the village historically belonged. The lower half shows a dragon, symbol of St. Cyriacus, patron saint of the village. The village original name is also Cyriaksweiler. Literature : Debus, 1988
