Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) German Civic Heraldry HILLE State : Nordrhein-Westfalen District (Kreis) : Minden-Lübbecke Additions : 1973 Amt Dützen (partly), Amt Hartum, Eickhorst, Hartum, Holzhausen II (partly), Nordhemmern, Oberlübbe, Rothenuffeln, Südhemmern, Unterlübbe Origin/meaning: The wind mill blades are taken from the old arms of Amt Hartum, where are still many windmills. The reeds are taken from the old arms of Hillen, see below and symbolise the moors in the municipality. The colours are those of the State of Minden.
