HARTHAUSEN AUF DER SCHEER
State : Baden-Württemberg ![]()
Origin/meaning: Harthausen auf der Scheer did not have any historical seals or arms, so the above arms were designed in 1947 by the State Archives in Sigmaringen. The chief is a canting element (Scher means pointed mountains or stones, now known as Felszacken in German) . The colours are those of the Counts of Veringen, the oldest known Lords of the village in the 13th and 14th century. Literature : Gönner, 1958
