GREBIN
State : Schleswig-Holstein
District (Kreis) : Plön
 Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted on December 3, 1990.
The division of the shield symbolises the four villages in the municipality; Schönweide, Grebin, Görnitz and Behl. The beech-leaves are canting; the name is derived from the Slavic word for beech. Beeches were also planted in pre-historic times on the small burial mounds, that still can be found in the area. One of these is represented by the ring of stones in the arms. The wheel stands for the watermill on the former Schönweide estate, to which also the villages Grebin and Görnitz belonged. The colours are those of Schleswig-Holstein.
