Origin/meaning: The arms are based on the medieval arms of the Lords Von Godelinchem from the 13th and 14th century.Their arms show a ecclesial cloth, which is shown in the colours of the district. The small 'shield' on the cloth actually is a golden urn, which dates from the Bronze Age and was found near the village in 1840. The two acorns in the base symbolise the two villages of Haftenkamp and Hardinghausen. Literature : -
