Origin/meaning: The wavy bend symbolises the Glattbach (Bach=stream, river). The upper half shows a small shield with a double-headed stork. These are the arms of the Wasen family, who owned from 1387-1528 a large estate in the municipality. Th elower half shows three bobbins, a symbol for the local textile industry.
