State : Bayern
Origin/meaning: In 1296 the Seligenstadt Abbey acquired the villages of Hofstädten, Geiselbach and Omersbach from the Archbishop of Mainz. These three villages then formed the "Dreidörfervogtei" (three-village area) of the semi-independent territory of the Abbey. The abbey ruled the are until 1802. The arms show the letter A taken from the arms of the Abbey with three stars representing the three villages. The colours are those of the State of Mainz.
