Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) German Civic Heraldry FROHBURG State : Sachsen District (Kreis) : Leipziger Land Additions : 1973 Streitwald; 1995 Greifenhain; 1997 Benndorf, Bubendorf; 1999 Eschefeld, Frauendorf, Roda, Nenkersdorf, Schönau. Origin/meaning: The arms show a city gate and castle. The old seals also show the castle as ruin and with a small tree. These are the arms as shown below by Hupp in the 1920s. Already in the early 20th century the arms were often shown as above, in the colours of Sachsen and without the tree. A seal from around 1900 The arms as shown in the 1920s.
