State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
Additions : 1917 Hiesfeld (partly); 1975 Walsum (partly)

Origin/meaning:
The arms were officially granted on April 23, 1928, but the arms have been used for centuries. Dinslaken received city rights in 1273 by Dietrich IV of Kleve. The first seal, which was probably made shortly afterwards, already shows a similar image. In smaller seals and now also in the arms, the city walls and the castle have only been simplified.
