Origin/meaning:
The upper left arms show the arms as proposed in 1956. The arms show a wolf's-hook, a typical village sign, which was used on the local borderstones and which was officially indicate das village sign in the 18th century. Until 1971 the village used the wolf's hook in its seals.
The arms above right were officially granted on July 21, 1971.
In these arms the historical symbol is combined with the lion of Hessen.
