CALVÖRDE

State : Sachsen-Anhalt
District (Kreis) : Börde (until 2007 Ohrekreis) (until 1994 Haldersleben)

Origin/meaning:
The arms are known since the 16th century from the local seals. The lion is the lion of the State of Braunschweig, to which the area historically belonged. The three hops are a symbol for the cultivation of hops for many centuries in the region.
