District (Kreis) : Wesel (until 1974 Moers)
Incorporated into : 1974 Rheinberg

Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted on August 7, 1954.

The arms show the towe rof th elocal church, th eonly historical monument in th etown. The village historically was ruled by the Counts of Moers and the Archbishops of Köln, which is symbolised by the two small shields. The church is placed on a canting mountain (Berg).
