BUCHEN

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Siegen-Wittgenstein (until 1974 Siegen)
Incorporated into : 1966 Hüttental (1975 Siegen)

Origin/meaning:
The arms of Buchen were granted on May 27, 1939.

The upper part shows a horn, the symbol of the Amt Ferndorf, to which the municipality belonged. The lower half shows a canting beech leaf, Buche means beech.
