Origin/meaning: The arms show eight bars, each representing one of the different owners of (part) of the municipality of Bübingen during the centuries. The bars stand for Warsberg, Robdorn, Kerpen, Kriechingen, Ettendorf, Nassau-Saarbrücken, Müllenbach and Trier. The tower is the local tower, which was already mentioned in the 11th century.
