Origin/meaning:
The oak leaves in the upper part of the arms are taken from the crest of the Lords von Bippen. The dolmen in the base represents the prehistoric grave (hun-bed, Hünengrab) in th emunicipality and represents the longtime inhabitation. The oak leaves and the green part of the shield also represent the forests in the municipality.
