![]() Origin/meaning: The oldest seal of the city dates from around 1300 and shows a city wall with in the gate a knight with the arms of the Lords of Strehla, three knives. The present arms show a façade of a church with the arms of Strehla and Bieberstein, and thus date from the late 15th century.
Hupp showed the arms in the 1920s with the shields placed differently:
