Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted on December 20, 1973.
The arms show the arms of the three main rulers in the region; th elion from the Dukes of Pfalz-Zweibrücken, the balls (in inverted colours) of the Counts of Sickingen and the eagle for the Counts of Leiningen. The bordure is a common symbol for a Verbandsgemeinde.
