SAMTGEMEINDE LAND WURSTEN

Origin/meaning: The eagle is typical for many (personal) arms in Friesland and stands for the fact that the area belongs to Ost-Friesland. The green field with the seven trefoils symbolises agriculture as well as the seven municipalities in the Samtgemeinde. The wavy bar symbolises the many rivers and streams in the area. To the Samtgemeinde Land Wursten the following municipalities belong :
