SAMTGEMEINDE ESENS

State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Wittmund

Origin/meaning:
The arms show the bear taken from the arms of the city of Esens. The wheel is a symbol for the fishing industry, the number of spokes represents the municipalities in the Samtgemeinde. The wheat ears symbolize the agricultural character of the region.

Holtgast
Moorweg
Neuharlingersiel
Stedesdorf
Werdum (has no arms)
