Wappen von Amt Brebach

Origin/meaning:
The arms were officially granted on November 15, 1953.

The arms show a cogwheel, symbol for the many industries and (former) watermills in the area. The seven spokes refer to the (then) seven municipalities in the Amt.

To Amt Brebach belonged

  1. Bischmisheim
  2. Bliesransbach
  3. Brebach-Fechingen (1959 Brebach, Fechingen)
  4. Bübingen
  5. Güdingen
  6. Schafbrücke (since 1960)
  7. Scheidt
