Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted on ??-??-??

The typical star in th eupper part is the Hagals-rune, a old-Germanic symbol referring to the Asen (Germanic gods), and thus used as a canting symbol. The base shows an arm with broken chains, which refer to the local legend about the giant Hinnark von Asendorf.
